Training for teachers in SEN

The government has developed online training for teachers working with pupils with a range of special needs.  See http://www.education.gov.uk/lamb/ for links to teaching pupils with:  autism spectrum disorders(ASD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD), dyslexia or specific learning difficulties (SpLD) or speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

See http://www.education.gov.uk/complexneeds/ for teaching those with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or other complex needs.

Clicker 6 training SW4

We are pleased to announce that there will be a further session of Clicker 6 training at Macauley Primary School, Victoria Rise, SW4.  This will be on Wednesday 28th November from 9.30 to 12.00.  £85 or one training voucher.  Please contact us to book a place.

Clicker 6 training

CENMAC will be running Clicker 6 training at Richard Cloudesley School in Islington on Tuesday 6th November from 9.30 – 12.00.  £85 or one training voucher.  Training vouchers are provided to those working with pupils supported by CENMAC.  Please contact us for details and please book before half term to ensure a place.

David Laney

We are sorry to say that David Laney, CENMAC’s Resource Manager, will be unavailable for approximately 2 weeks starting on Tuesday 6th March.  For technical queries, please contact the advisory teacher who supports the pupil.

Trish Davidson

We regret to announce that Trish will be going on extended sick leave on 12th January.  Although she will be making a full recovery, she is not yet sure when she will be able to return to work.  In the meantime, should you need to contact her, please get in touch with Gill (gill@cenmac.com) who will be able to direct your query to the most appropriate person.

Imogen is leaving

Revised job advertisement due to recent changes in legislation

Do you have a good working knowledge of the use of Assistive Technology to support SEN and Inclusion? CENMAC is looking for an Advisory Teacher to work across London, giving support to staff and pupils across all phases.

If you are ICT skilled, observant, able to work as a team player and self motivated, please contact CENMAC for details of this exciting opportunity.  It is essential that you have a full driving licence and your own car which you are willing to use on a daily basis to carry out this job.

CENMAC is based in Charlton, south east London, and the successful applicant will be required to work in allocated Authorities within Greater London.

Salary: This post is covered by Teachers Pay and Conditions and will be paid according to the Teachers Main Scale.  The exact point and any allowances will be paid according to qualifications and experience.
